Phoenix Multisport is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from substance use disorder and for those who choose to live a sober life. By participating in our physical, social and education programs, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. Activities offered include climbing, hiking, surfing, boxing, running, yoga, CrossFit, road & mountain biking, and strength training. Through traditional fundraising strategies and revenue ventures, Phoenix is able to provide free programs for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety. Phoenix also partners with organizations that serve individuals with substance use disorders to provide health and wellness programming for their clients and to bridge their clients to our free community programs, where they can access long term support for recovery. Phoenix currently operates in California, Colorado, Idaho, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Phoenix Multisport is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to coordinate relationships with donors, foundations, and the philanthropic community, as well as to support administrative functions, at our Boise, ID Chapter. The ability to instruct Phoenix programming is preferred but not required.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate has experienced with non-profit development and fundraising as well as strong administrative and community relations skills. The Boise Development Coordinator is expected to work in collaboration with the Boise Chapter Manager to ensure the overall health of the chapter. The ability to lead fitness classes or outdoor programs (such as hiking, CrossFit, yoga, cycling, rock climbing, etc.) is a significant bonus. A strong connection to Phoenix's mission is critical. Preference will be given to those with personal experience in recovery from alcohol or substance use disorder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support the cultivation and management of high-value donors
Develop and coordinate local fundraising events and campaigns
Identify and cultivate relationships with local foundation representatives
Identify new opportunities and make recommendations
Oversee all aspects of grant tracking, timelines, applications and reports
Explore, establish and nurture corporate sponsorships
Travel as needed for training and meetings
Manage social media, press relations and media communications
Carry out administrative functions , including updating program schedule on our website, conducting outreach events, and data entry
(Depending on candidate) Facilitate fitness, outdoor and/or social programming for Phoenix's community chapter and partnership programs as assigned
All other duties as assigned

Experience with non-profit development, fundraising and/or-grant-writing preferred
Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to quickly adapt to change
Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and proficient with software including word processing, spreadsheet applications and email
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from all walks of life
Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
Lived experience as a peer in recovery preferred
Experience teaching and related certifications in one of more disciplines (CrossFit, yoga, climbing, boxing, cycling, running, etc.) strongly preferred
Experience facilitating group fitness preferred
Personal trainer certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE) preferred
CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred
Recovery Coach certification preferred
