Phoenix Multisport is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from substance use disorder and for those who choose to live a sober life. By participating in our physical, social and education programs, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. Activities offered include climbing, hiking, surfing, boxing, running, yoga, CrossFit, road & mountain biking, and strength training. Through traditional fundraising strategies and revenue ventures, Phoenix is able to provide free programs for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety. Phoenix also partners with organizations that serve individuals with substance use disorders to provide health and wellness programming for their clients and to bridge their clients to our free community programs, where they can access long term support for recovery. Phoenix currently operates in California, Colorado, Idaho, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Phoenix Multisport is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to manage the Boise, ID Chapter.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate is a certified personal trainer, experienced group fitness or outdoor program instructor with management experience. The Boise Chapter Manager is expected to work in collaboration to ensure the overall health of all aspects of Phoenix Multisport in the Boise area.
The Boise Chapter Manager is expected to represent Phoenix Multisport in all interactions with members, staff, contractors, community partners and the Boise community. A strong connection to Phoenix's mission is critical. Preference will be given to those with personal experience in recovery from alcohol or substance use disorder

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage program and events schedule
Manage facility and equipment maintenance as well as general daily administrative needs and tasks of the chapter
Facilitate partnership and community programming as needed
Manage and oversee the online presence, both social media messaging and website maintenance for the chapter
Develop partnerships, both for earned income and community collaboration
Oversee and coordinate outreach activities
Oversee and manage volunteer orientation, training, recruitment, retention and workload, especially as they are required to support instructors and programs
In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, the Chapter Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Chapter budget
Working closely with other regional managers to coordinate on Phoenix wide policy and procedure, learn from and offer advice to others in a collaborative manner.
Run some of the programs offered within a chapter and be very familiar with all the programs such that you can assess safety and quality of the delivery of the program.
Travel for training and meetings as needed
Supervise the program and administrative staff of the Boise Chapter including hiring, training, supervision, discipline and termination as needed
Other duties as assigned
Work evening and weekend hours as needed

Experience teaching one or more disciplines such as CrossFit, yoga, climbing, boxing, cycling, running, etc. (and related certification) strongly preferred
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required
Experience facilitating group fitness required
Experience with budgets and program management preferred
Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to quickly adapt to change
Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment, and proficient with software including word processing, spreadsheet applications and email
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from all walks of life
Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
Personal trainer certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE) preferred
Lived experience as a peer in recovery preferred
Recovery Coach certification preferred
